Marrakech (and beyond), Morocco, October 2016
This Fall, I am pleased to offer a most special adventure in Morocco. We'll retreat here to a property that was built with my hotel dreams in mind - impeccable design, luxurious and eco-friendly, with a pool, gardens, a tent under which we will do Pilates, guest rooms with fire places and patios, an Arabian dining tent, and it's set in an olive grove from which they produce their own olive oil.
Excursions include a day trip to Essaouria to explore the seaside town and its’ beautiful beaches, ride camels on the beach, and dine in town; trips to the colorful and exotic markets in Marrakech; a cooking class at Dar les Cigognes; a stroll through Les Jardins Majorelle (made famous by Yves Saint Laurent) and the Berber Museum; a day trip to the Atlas Mountains to take a gentle hike and visit a traditional Berber Village; take a soak and a scrub at Les Bains de Marrakech; and still have time to relax in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel pool and gardens. With all of the above plus the beauty of our accommodation, this trip promises to be a refreshing escape.

Along with Teresa Parker, an expert on Catalonia and its cuisine, we see the beauty of the countryside, the charm of the small villages, take in the art, tasting the extraordinary food and wine of the region - by walking, hiking, biking (and some driving) to these experiences.
We start off each day with Pilates in the garden (by the pool) and fuel up with a classic breakfast followed by the adventure of the day. You will feel energized and fit from the exercise, yet completely satisfied by the local cuisine we explore. Top that off with amazing scenery and culture, and it's the most pleasurable trip you will take.
